Does anyone know where I could get a copy of the article "Anti-Sniper"
by John Falk, which the 1998 Movie "Shot Through the Heart" was based
on?

I'm talking about a hard copy, a scan, an e-mail, anything. My friends
and I have seen this movie several times and we would all really like
to read the article. We tried to contact Details Magazine, where the
article originally appeared, but we haven't heard from them and we
don't think we will. (In all fairness they're probably quite busy.)

THANKS!
Jackie

METRAVIB RDS - PILAR ANTI SNIPER SYSTEM - GUNSHOT DETECTION AND LOCALIZATION

METRAVIB RDS is recognized as an advanced specialist in the detection
and management of acoustics and vibrations. The company has taken
advantage of its knowledge and expertise in vibro-acoustics and physics
to develop off-the-shelf products for the defense and civil markets
including the PILARw anti sniper system, a gun shot detection and
localization series of devices, and the Pilar Versatile Observation
Turret (PIVOT).

PILARw SYSTEMS - BALLISTIC-ACOUSTIC DETECTION

The PILARw is the latest generation, state-of-the-art, small caliber gun
shot detection and localization device in which METRAVIB RDS uses the
most advanced signal processing techniques. This technology gives
unrivalled results in the field to detect and locate this fleeting and
potentially lethal event. It can operate in harsh environments including
urban, tropical, snow-covered areas and situations involving loud
background noise such as that created by a vehicle. The system also
identifies the signature of the enemy shot.

PILARw is designed for both military and civilian security forces with a
number of applications. The main four groups are:

* Peacekeeping assignment
* Situation awareness
* Sniper detection
* Law enforcement

The main features of both the static and vehicle mounted versions are:

* Detection of caliber from 5.56mm to 20mm
* Fully passive devices
* 360° x 90° field of view
* Response time lower than 1.5s
* Fully automatic and manual mode
* Report edition facility
* Up time greater than 98%

It was published in the November 1995 issue of Details magazine. You can probably find a copy of it for sale online.
